marieeschenbach.com – Homepage and on-line folio for journalist Marie Eschenbach. A basic HTML site which turned out to be rather larger than planned. Funny how 6 pages of HTML can grow to 50, some using PHP.
The design was originally drawn in Gimp and was then converted by hand into XHTML and CSS. Visually the brief was "grey and red", which i think you will agree has been fully satisfied. It uses PHP to merge the content into the template but it does not have an SQL back-end because of cost limitations when choosing a host.
There are a couple of little bugs, which I am waiting to get clearance to fix.
kitty0.org/typo3/0/ – This is a previous version of kitty0.org. The design is excessively colourful, though it was originally much a more sombre grey/green scheme. I had a conversation with someone about the drabness of fashionable design, in response to which I brightened up the template with an overdose of primary colours. It is powered by the Typo3 CMS, which is very powerful but somewhat over complicated and resource heavy.
The template was designed in Illustrator and Photoshop then converted by hand to XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS. The template is validated (w3c) but unfortunately the CMS throws some tags in which are not correct so it doesnt pass validation perfectly.
Homepage of a New Zealand artist. It features an interesting design, which is unusual and atractive, but at the same time does not steal the focus from the artists work. Please note that this website contains content, for which I am not responsible, that may be offensive to some people.
The site was designed in Photoshop then converted to HTML 4.0 and CSS. It makes some use of Javascript to allow dynamic image changing without reloading the page.
It is is powered by a custom built PHP & MySQL back-end that allows the artist herself to update it without having to write any HTML.
Unfortunately this website is no longer available at the origional domain but I have hosted it here so you can see it: http://kitty0.org/www.grayart.co.nz/
www.jamesrobinson.conz – Another website designed for a New Zealand artist. This was built quickly re-using much of the code from the GrayArt site (above.) It was given a simpler design to accomodate for a much larger collection of work. Please note that the content of this site, for which I am not responsible, may be offensive to some people.
I had a very limited amount of time to complete this site and so the design is not very exciting.
The back-end is a slightly improved version of the PHP / SQL code used in www.grayart.co.nz
www.sulak-sivaraksa.org – English language homepage for a network of Thai organization that where founded under the guidance of Thai intellectual Ajan Sulak Sivaraksa. This is my first website written using PHP and MySQL for content management.
It has a comprehensive back-end that allows much of the content to be edited online without the need to understand HTML.
The site is quite big (about 70 pages) so it was designed to be clean and functional for visitors.

www.rooftops.co.nz – Website for a small restaurant in Dunedin, New Zealand. It was designed with simplicity and time being to most important goals. It took me about two days from start to finish including the photography.
It is built with static pages in validated (w3c) XHTMl and CSS.

Online brochure for a project that my employers at the time where running. It is clean, function and was build to a tight deadline. Unfortunately the site is no longer online, however I do have copy and if anybody is interested I can host it temporarily.
