Berties
In fond memory of Burlington Berties, Edinburgh before a rather unfortunate case of ill-advised redecoration. On an asside, there should be laws against redecorating old-school pub. It should be protected under the Nation Trust or something, because the character of 100 year old wallpaper is as valuable to our cultural identity as any building.
Consumptive Church 4: A False Dhamma
Consumptive Church – Part #4.
Enlightened meditation: ultimate meaning is purchasing power.
*EDIT*
For people outside Europe: Ikea is a big shop (mall) that sells stuff like furniture. They have a Scandinavian ethos mixed with good old capitalism.
For Hindus: I do not mean this as a being in any way critical of your religion, I simply wish to convey the idea of spirituality as metaphor for consumerism.

Consumptive Church 2: Social Monoculture
This is the part #2 of The Consumtive Church.
When (if) finished these pictures will be combined together into a single graphic essay on the subject of consumerism as part of the “Buy Shit, Be Happy?” project.

Consumptive Church 1: The Alienated Interbeing
This is the part #1 of what I hope will be series of pictures tentatively entitled The Consumptive Church. When (if) finished these pictures will be combined together into a single graphic essay on the subject of consumerism as part of the “Buy Shit, Be Happy?” project.
